Quiet Night, Loud Nightmares

My poem "A Poem for My New Friend" and two flash fictions, "Sneezo-pocalypse" and "Undead Reflections," are now available for free download! 

• A Poem for My New Friend (or The Other Me): This poem tells the story of a kid whose father brings home a new friend, but things are not as they seem.
• Sneezo-pocalypse: When a young student sneezes, his teacher is horrified by the green snot coming out of his nose—only for it to come alive. This story was inspired by a real-life experience of mine. I had a student with the largest, greenest thick snot booger I’d ever seen hanging out of his nostril… though, thankfully, the snot didn’t come alive. I offered him a tissue, but he said he didn’t need one. Oh, but he really did…
• Undead Reflections: A zombie reflects on his old life and his new existence as one of the undead. This flash fiction was inspired by the 2013 movie Warm Bodies, which sparked the idea of a zombie regaining self-awareness and starting to feel human again.
